Where the data comes from

• District alert colours: IMD district-wise warnings (official), fetched automatically.
• River levels: CWC Flood Forecasting System hourly gauges (official) where a gauge exists.
• Reservoir levels: CWC data for Idukki and Idamalayar. Other dams show stored reference values, not live readings.
• Rainfall, weather, soil moisture and sea state: Open-Meteo model data. These are model estimates, not rain-gauge or buoy observations.
• Relief camps, hospitals, road status and contacts: reference lists that may be out of date.
• Risk scores, simulators and calculators: simplified estimates for awareness, not validated flood models.

Every value is labelled with its source and time. Feeds can be delayed or unavailable; the site says so when they are.
